Rantings of a Pastor/Gamer/Historian/Geek
Kevin Stover

Kevin Stover is the Executive Pastor of LifePoint Community Church. He began his career in ministry at Tennessee Valley Community Church helping the then executive pastor James in whatever areas he could (From helping fold bulletins to teaching classes). After leaving Tennessee Valley to begin LifePoint, James asked him to join the staff as assistant pastor. Recently Kevin has began the migration into the role of executive pastor, allowing him to use more of his gifts and to be more effective. Although his experience in “full time ministry” is fairly limited, he tries to read as many books on leadership and pastoring as he can.
In 2005, Kevin graduated from Lee University with a Bachelor of Arts in History with three minors: Religion, Computer Science and Mathematics. He is an active member of several history societies, including the National History Honor Society (Phi Alpha Theta), and plans on getting his doctorate in Ancient Near Eastern/Early Church History.
Aside from working with LifePoint, Kevin currently works at the Cleveland Public Library as head of IT. He loves technology and video games, particularly First Person Shooters and RPGs. He is the consummate geek. Just ask James. He plays Halo 3 on Xbox Live under the gamertag: Jaded Jesuit. He recently re-acquired a long-dormant World of Warcraft habit. If you want to look him up, he’s on the server Dalvengyr underneath the name Kaazal. He hates writing in the third person.
