If you aren’t a resident of Cleveland (the one south of the Mason-Dixon Line), then this post may not interest you very much. Don’t worry, I’ll be putting up another post later today. But, for all of us who live and work in the wonderful land of Clevegas, there’s some interesting news afoot. Mayor Tom Rowland has said that he would like to see the return of curb side recycling to our fair city. You can read the news article in the Bradley News Weekly here. (Don’t forget to read the Creeps and Saints of the week while you’re there, that’s the best part of the BNW.) It turns out, Mr. Rowland has at least two different plans to bring those cute, blue containers back to your curb.

If you live in Cleveland, I encourage, nay, beg you to contact the City or the Mayor’s Office and let them know that you support curb side recycling. God has called us to be good stewards of our world, and recycling is a great way to do it. Plus, I’m too lazy to take my stuff to the recycling place myself. Unfortunately, due to the City of Cleveland’s website being really crappy, I couldn’t find an email address for the offices. I know that we’d all rather stand behind the cloak of anonymity that the interwebs provide us, throwing our suggestions out there like rotten tomatoes at a bad comedian, but I think this issue warrants actually picking up the phone to call. That being said, here are the numbers at which you can reach the Mayor’s office:

City of Cleveland Contact Info

That’s right, the website design is so bad that the contact information is an image. And the Email and Driving Directions aren’t links on the city site either. Go figure. Anyways, do your good deed for the day and give them a call.
