So, I’m watching After Jesus: The First Christians on CNN, and I haven’t found any real problems with their historical perspective. If this were on the History Channel, I’d probably be throwing things at the tv, which, my wife doesn’t like very much. I’ll put a full write-up of the show online tomorrow sometime, but I have to say: I’m impressed. Even Dr. Bart Ehrman, whom I usually disagree with quite often, hasn’t said anything I find hard to swallow. (Dr. Ehrman is probably the best-known New Testament textual critic, and an avowed agnostic.)
