James does a lot more of this than I do, but it’s a good tip nonetheless: Blog when you aren’t online. You don’t have to be connected to the ‘net to write a good blog post. Some of our best posts are written in Microsoft Word, or even notepad, and uploaded later. If you have Office 2007, you can even setup Word to post directly to your blog (if you are using Wordpress or one of the other systems they support).

A lot of times I feel confined to writing my posts directly in the Wordpress editor, but I shouldn’t. There’s no reason that I couldn’t write posts and put them in later. Again, James does it all the time, and it’s something I’m going to start doing. So, try it out with me, let me know how it works for you.
