Yep. You read that title right. I give up. I’ve had a video project on my plate for weeks now, literally, and haven’t finished it. I knew how important it was, so it wasn’t lack of motivation. I knew the concept, so I wasn’t really confused. What it comes down to is the fact that I am not a video guy. Sure I like to dabble in it and can come up with cool concepts/ideas every now and then, but I am not designed to do video editing. It seems as if I’m given the project before I come up with a concept or an idea for the video, I can’t ever come up with one. The pressure of creating a video from a need rather than a concept is just too much for me. I’m apparently not that creative. So, I give up. I should have admitted the fact that I had 0% creativity for this video from the beginning, but alas, my pride wouldn’t let me. Now, James and I can both work on it and probably finish the video much quicker.

If you’re in any kind of church leadership, give up. The quicker you admit that you can’t finish a project on your own, the sooner you can get help. And the sooner you can get help, the quicker you can get back to spreading God’s message. And, isn’t that all we really want?

Now, let me get back to my self loathing…
