Rantings of a Pastor/Gamer/Historian/Geek
So, does anyone know of any good home remedies for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome? My right hand, especially my pinky and ring fingers, is killing me. In fact, it hurts so much that I’ve resorted to hunt and peck typing methods just to type this post. Of course, the obvious answer is prayer, and I’m not at all opposed to God completely healing my hand. But, on my end, here are some things I’m working on to correct the problem. If you know of any others, leave a comment and let me know.
Well, that’s about it. Let me know if there’s anything else you guys (and girls) can think of.

My first attempt to comment here appeared to get bumped, so this might be a repeat.

Thanks for the advice. I’ll definitely try those tips. I hadn’t thought about lowering the back of the keyboard, I just always assumed that I liked it better elevated. We’ll see how that one works. Thanks again.

Wave board for sure (the ergonomic one I have is called a Wave…) gel wrist rests are good. I have arthritis in my wrists, as well as having had a full shoulder reconstruction a year ago. I’ll have to send you some samples of the stuff we sell for pain. Helps with inflammation too, which is basically what causes all of the symptoms of carpal tunel…

Thanks, I would appreciate that a lot. Free pain relief is always good :P

I didn’t think lowering the back of the keyboard would make a difference, but it made a huge difference in the way I sat at the keyboard. A couple of years ago I used a fairly expensive articulated keyboard tray for a while. It allowed me to position the keyboard carefully, as well as angling the back downward. Big help, improved my posture at the computer significantly.
