I know I posted a few months ago about being friends with unreached people, but I wanted to give this little addition. In the post just below this one, James talked about playing basketball. What he didn’t mention is the fact that a new friend of ours from New York came by to play a little bit with us as well. He’s a really cool guy with very little personal commitment to any religious point of view. To make things trickier, he’s currently living with my one shot friends. Because he lives with them, and they aren’t really ready to come to church yet, James and I decided to ask him to come to our church on Easter Sunday while we shot some hoops.

Much to my surprise, he was really excited about coming to the Easter service. Interestingly, it doesn’t have a lot to do with the fact that he is seeking God, but that he is new in town and is looking for friends. Honestly, I didn’t expect him to be that ok with it. But he didn’t hesitate to answer my invitation. Just more proof that unreached people aren’t as scary as zombies.

P.S. Yesterday when those people wanted to use the court, I felt a little bit like this. (Well, the part about playing basketball anyway)
