Rantings of a Pastor/Gamer/Historian/Geek
Sometimes when we focus so much on vision, we can make the mistake of focusing too much on the future. As we move closer to our official launch (Easter Sunday), I’ve been really thinking about the people in the Tennessee Valley that God wants us to reach. The lost, the hurting, the unreached, etc. The list goes on and on, but you get the point. While thinking about these people, I began to envision the thousands of people that I feel God has called us to minister to, and God reminded me of something. In just the few months that we have been “launching” LifePoint, God has already used us to minister to a lot of people.
Some have come to us looking for a church they could call home. Some people came to us simply because our sign said: “A church for people who don’t like church.” I even talked to a person today who is making plans to be off of work to come to our services. Amazing. God is already at work here at LifePoint, and we haven’t even started yet! Like the title says: We’ve only just begun. And I can’t wait.

It’s very exciting to read a blog about a church plant. I pray God blesses your endeavor mightily! Just remember one thing: stay grounded in the Word and stay focused on the Spirit. When you worship and preach in spirit and in truth, things will happen.
Too bad I’m way out here in California — otherwise I’d come and visit!
